An expert when it comes to rights and copyright clearances I know how to keep you within budget and out of trouble. And my contacts throughout the historical reconstruction world mean I can help you get it right, even when the shots you want don’t exist.

My expertise at navigating not only footage libraries but records offices and written archives of all kinds makes me the ideal person when you need that something special finding. 	MOVING IMAGES

I began my TV career at the BBC Film Archive and went on to research for Newsnight, youth current affairs series Reportage, cult comedy, The Staggering Stories of Ferdinand De Bargos and The Almost Complete History of the Twentieth Century.

I am renowned for my work as a producer of archive and clip based programmes, most notably as Series Producer of All New TVs Naughtiest Blunders, Kirsty’s Home Videos, Britain in the 90s and Executive Producer of Now That’s Embarrassing...The 80s and Denis Norden’s Alright on the Night.

As Producer of Baddiel and Skinner’s Fantasy World Cup 98, I led the team which scoured the world for sporting gems and have provided topical and comedy clips for Shooting Stars, Rory Bremner, Jo Brand, Lenny Henry and Frank Skinner.


	A long-standing consultant member of Focal International, (The Federation of Commercial Audiovisual Libraries) I am part of the judging panel for the annual Focal Awards.

With my knowledge of footage sources around the world and an ability to think laterally to find the best material that never reaches the archives, I can turn my hand to any kind of production, whether it is topical comedy, a clip show, bloopers, user generated content or a traditional historical documentary.

	HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTIONS


	And if you feel like adding some extra texture to your production or the shots you need just aren’t available, then ask me about reconstructing them for you.


	With contacts throughout the 20th Century Living History community, I can quickly source extras, props and accurate uniforms for photo shoots or location filming. It might be quicker and cheaper than you think. Please ask for more details


	ARCHIVE RECORDS

	It’s not just film archives I am happy to rummage around in. I’m just as happy digging out gems from a newspaper archive, a specialist library or the local records office. I have a Masters Degree in Information Studies and years of experience searching a variety of archives. Add to that my passion for 19th and 20th Century British history and popular culture and I could be just the person to bring your next TV, web or print project to life.


	GENEALOGY AND LOCAL HISTORY

	I have also taken all my research skills and put them to use delving into people’s family trees. Whether you want to know more about your family history but don’t know where to start, or you just need that one piece of specialist research doing to complete the jigsaw, then contact me.
